5 bedroom oceanview townhouse-wheelchair accessible-elevator in Amelia Island

Large and spacious - the perfect house for family gatherings, reunions, golf groups etc - this is the place!   This townhome is on 3 levels and has lots of space for everyone to be comfortable.  The first 2 floors make up the sleeping accommodations with a total of 5 bedrooms, all with ceiling fans and  brightly decorated in vivid beach colors with gorgeous light colored bamboo wood floors.  The 2 bedrooms on the first floor share a full bathroom with walk in shower.  This bathroom has an oversized door and is wheelchair accessible, such a great feature!
The three bedrooms on the second level all have their own beautiful bathrooms - 2 with walk-in showers and the master bathroom has it all  with shower and separate tub and his/hers vanities.  Also the futon in the master bedroom is larger than the others and could sleep 2 adults comfortably.
The laundry room with large stacked washer/dryer are also on this level.   Having an elevator to get those groceries to the kitchen on the top floor is sheer luxury! Even better after a long day at the beach, and in need of a cold one to quench your thirst and a comfy chair to relax in, just hop into the elevator and ride up to the top level - sure beats dragging your weary bones up the stairs!   You walk out of the elevator into a large, warm and welcoming kitchen and family room - here the floor is tiled - very practical with lots of cooking and eating going on!
The kitchen is huge and well stocked - beautiful new stainless steel appliances and a gas stove - how great is that!  The breakfast bar is a great place to hang and chat over morning coffee or afternoon beers - and there is also a farmhouse type table with benches - so the kids can have their morning pancakes or play some board games - or you can all graduate to the relaxing sofas and watch tv on the large flatscreen - or catch up on Facebook on your laptops - of course the house has wifi.  There is even a small, covered balcony - so you can open the door and enjoy cool evening breezes.   There is a powder room on this level also, and then an added bonus - a large den with another HD flatscreen TV  and comfortable sofas to relax into and chill out, watching either your favorite football team - or enjoy a good movie.
A second dining table here provides room for any overflow from the kitchen table - and another table is perfect for laptops, puzzles, projects etc.   This is just an amazing house in a great location.  The beach is just across the street - the beach access is approximately 200 ft from the house.  A rolling cart is provided so just load those  beach chairs - also provided and kept  in the 2 car garage - into the cart along with your cooler and you are ready to hit the beach.  And having a restaurant close by gives you a great excuse not to cook every night!  Take a night off and go and sit out on the Surf's huge deck - enjoy the action and live music and your kids will be sure to enjoy the fried shrimp baskets and great burgers.
And when you want to make your own, just move the gas barbeque from the garage into the courtyard and fire up the grill!   There are 3 grocery stores all within less than 10 minutes drive of the townhouse - and the quaint Historic downtown is about the same.  It is easy and fun to spend an afternoon browsing through all the stores downtown - have lunch at Brett's Waterway Cafe and enjoy the gorgeous view - hopefully see the dolphins playing in the water.  See if you can make it past the ice cream and fudge stores without stopping !!  Once that aroma wafts out, it is impossible not to go and visit inside and choose your favorite ice cream flavor.
Whatever your desire, you can almost certainly do it here on our island - and if this is your first visit, we would like to bet it won't be your last!  We hope you decide to come and stay at our house and have a wonderful visit here on Amelia Island.

Amelia Island has so much to offer - miles of wonderful, uncrowded beaches; water activites such as swimming, boogie boarding,  surfing, paddle surfing, kite surfing; fishing both surf and offshore. Or relax on the beach and soak up the sun, or find shells and sharks' teeth.

For the ladies who like to shop, the downtown historic district has wonderul stores to browse in - everything from high fashion to antique stores.  And when you have worked up an appetite, there are so many mouth-watering restaurants to choose from, and oh - those ice cream stores - a favorite for both kids and adults alike!

Tennis, golf, mini golf - explore Fort Clinch State Park; take a trip to Cumberland Island and see the wild horses - and perhaps for a rainy day, make a side trip to Savannah.

You will not be bored here on our island - you will wish you had more time to spend!
