swimming. Great place for kids! The Main house is not a cottage, but
it is part of an 'olde Cape Cod' style cottage colony called the "Sea
Shells." The Main House is a full-sized free-standing family vacation
home.
Enjoy full water views from this south facing 2,000 square foot Cape
Cod - Colonial style 2 level beach house (1st & 2nd floors, NO
basement). 2 easy-to-use 2-person sit-on-top KAYAKS are included.
Lots of windows, sliders, & decks. Full kitchen with full-sized
appliances. Clean beds and sofas. This house is spacious
for one family. It comfortably accommodates with privacy 2 families,
extended families, or groups of friends. 2 full bathrooms.
Bay side Wellfleet is the BEST place for young
children. The water here is calm and there's miles to explore. We are
adjacent to the Cape Cod National Seashore. Listen to the
birds sing, walk to Great Island at low tide, collect shells, relax.

Seashore by kayak, by foot, or swim there! At night - watch the moon
reflect over the water. Listen to the waves.

Layout and beds: All the beds are recently purchased and good
quality, NOT pioneer/cabin-in-the-woods quality.
1st Floor: Very large family room with TV, DVD, a
game table, games, books, a cassette player, 2 futon sofas
convertible to 2 full beds, a love seat convertible, refrigerator,
sink, microwave & coffee maker, + a washer/dryer unit in an alcove.
This room has a door for privacy, can be used as a 5th bedroom.
Kids bedroom is in back with 2 bunk beds -1 twin/twin and 1
twin/full.
Private front bedroom with 2 twin beds that, pushed together with a
foam insert, becomes like a king. Full bathroom off the hall.
Game room in front with a dart board, various board games.
Front porch. Large rear deck has a ping pong table, chairs, table.
2nd Floor: Open layout. Full sized, fully equipped kitchen with a
large sink island that seats 4 on counter chairs, stainless steel
refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, slider to deck with gas grill. Open
kitchen layout leads to dining area which seats 8 at
a hardwood table. Bay window. Great water view. At night, watch the
moonlight over the water. The dining area is open to the living room
which has a love seat, sofa, easy chair, fireplace, 32"
HD TV, DVD, free wireless high speed internet access, sliding doors
to the deck. All the floors are cherry hardwood .
Plenty of room to eat on the deck, it is 40 feet long.
There is a walk-thru bedroom with a full bed.
In the rear, a bedroom with a queen bed and it's own
full bathroom (shower stall - no bathtub).

Wellfleet is the BEST place for kids! Things to do: Some of the best
kayaking on Cape Cod, swimming in Wellfleet's pristine kettle ponds,
Wellfleet's magnificent ocean beaches, clamming, Wellfleet's world
famous oysters, the village of Wellfleet - groceries, ice cream, art
galleries, restaurants, video store, farmer's market, deep water
fishing, fish off the pier, there's a railroad bike trail in
Wellfleet, (bike rentals in Wellfleet) Wellfleet drive-in, Wellfleet
movie theatre, go to a show at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre
(Best of Boston 2004 -Boston Magazine), see paintings of renowned
artists in Wellfleet's thriving art galleries, go to Provincetown,
seaside golfing down the road from the Main house, miniature golf,
grill on the Main House deck overlooking the water or dine at
Adrians (brick oven pizza), go out for lobster or have Mac's deliver
it cooked, all the restaurants are child friendly. There's the
Wellfleet flea market, National Seashore nature center, Marconi
site, visit the Highland Light Lighthouse in Truro, Audubon Society
Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, whale watches, beautiful sunsets
nearby, scenic drives, learn to surf, go birding, or don't go
anywhere - just listen to the birds sing. From the Main House it's
about 30 steps to the beach - swim, walk to Great Island at low
tide, rent a boat at Jack's to explore the National Seashore,
collect sea shells, relax, let the kids have fun exploring,
collecting. At night rent a movie, read a book, (we have a decent
collection), begin writing your book, listen to the waves, the sea
air is wonderful, sleep will be restful.
