Vacation Rental Description

Charles Nickerson had a dream that came to reality in the form of  
the Historic Nickerson Inn. A land mark of Pentwater for 93 years.  
An era ended on May 21, 2007 when the Inn was distroyed by fire.  
The Cottage was built and occupied by Charles Nickerson and dates  
back to 1912. It was only after the Cottage was built that he began  
construction of the Nickerson Inn during 1913. The Inn was completed  
in 1914 and open for business on July 1, 1914. Enjoy the Cottage as  
the Nickerson's did. It has been updated to provide 21st century  
comfort with a 20th century ambiance.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The main floor has a living room, dining room and a fully equipped  
kitchen. Up stairs you will find two bedrooms, one with a queen size  
bed and the other with two twins and a full, and a full bath. The  
Nickerson Cottage has central air conditioning, washer and dryer,  
T. V. with a DVD player, gas grill and a fire pit. No pets and no  
smoking inside the Cottage.

Activities and Attractions

Available services (extra price for each) include dinner by the  
former cook of the Historic Nickerson Inn, in Cottage message,  
fishing charters, golf outings, color tours and baby sitting. Two 
blocks to the Lake Michigan beach and Mears State Park. Only a short  
walk (no more than 7 blocks) to the shopping and resturant areas,  
the Village Green(Thursday evening band concerts) and the marinas.  
A short drive (within 20 miles) to the Hart bike path, golf courses,  
tennis courts, dune rides, Silver Lake, Ludington and Ludington  
State Park.

Vacation Rental Rates

Summer 2008 June 30 to September 8, $1,200 per week. 
Fall 2008 September 9 to October 13, $1,000 per week. 
Winter 2007-'08 October 14 to March 31, $800 per weekend. 
Spring 2008 April 1 to May 15, $1,000 per week. 
 
Weekly rental begins at 4PM Saturday and ends at 11AM the following 
Saturday. Weekend rentals begin at 2PM Friday and end at 2PM Sunday. 
 
A $300 security deposit is required in order to reserve the cottage.  
It will be refunded within 2 weeks after you "checked out", if there  
is no damage or there is nothing missing from the "checked in"  
inventory. The amount of the rental is due two weeks prior to  
arrival. We accept cash, personal check, or money orders.
