vacation rental description

The Dome Home

Want something a little OUT OF THE ORDINARY for your family gathering or reunion this year? Try our large delightful dome, situated in the heart of the Paradise Valley near Emigrant, just a short 30-minute drive to Yellowstone National Park and 7 minutes from famed Chico Hot Springs Resort! The dome has stunning views of Emigrant Peak and lends easy access to hiking, fishing, rafting, dining, and all that the Valley has to offer.

Living Space:
The dome home has been completely upgraded throughout for it's new purpose as a vacation home for visitors to the area. Always comfortable, it is a warm and welcoming gathering place for friends & family. From the new kitchen all the way to the "pool table" room, it's all been beautifully re-done to accommodate our guests on their Montana adventure.

There is 2400 square feet of dome living, with a great flow to the space inside and out. Lots of room to spread out on the main floor with several different living areas including the ktichen / dining / living room (with cozy wood stove), TV room, and the pool table room. The "pool table" room is a great play-space for kids and adults alike. There's a cozy TV-Family room in the center of the dome, an inviting place to sit back and relax. The living room opens onto one of two patio areas, great for outdoor grilling, dining and just hanging out.

Sleeping Accommodations:
Two bedrooms are located on the main floor - one has two twin beds, which can be made into a king if preferred. The other bedroom on this floor has a queen bed.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms including the Master suite with it's queen platform bed and en-suite deep soaker tub. The second upstairs bedroom has a full size bed and a balcony to the outside, which takes in lovely views of the mountains. It's a great spot for your morning coffee - the sun rises on that side of the property and makes for gorgeous mornings!

Shopping:
In the nearby small town of Emigrant you’ll find a well-stocked grocery store, bank, post office, gas station, Montana gift store, fly fishing store, bakery, café, bar and restaurant. A little further north you will find the towns of Livingston and Bozeman with lots more options for shopping and dining.

We look forward to welcoming you to Paradise Valley and our beautiful Montana dome home, a place to make your vacation something really special to remember for years to come.

Things to DO:

Our vacation home is situated in the very heart of the Paradise Valley. In just about 5 minutes you can be down at the Yellowstone river - fishing, rafting, or swimming at the little “beach” by the Emigrant Fishing access.

Here you are ideally located for outdoor adventures - an easy drive to Yellowstone National Park (30 mins) with it’s fishing, hiking, geysers, waterfalls, fabulous wildlife viewing, and my personal favorite for a hot soak - the Boiling River Hot Springs.

Also nearby is historic Chico Hot Springs Resort with its natural hot springs pool, trail rides, sporting clays, day spa, and exceptional dining. It doesn’t end there, other activities in the Valley include whitewater rafting, scenic flights, zip lining in Bozeman area, guided trips and tours into the Yellowstone Park, art galleries, Rodeos in June and July, and the annual Fiddler’s Picnic in August.

In the nearby small town of Emigrant you’ll find a well-stocked grocery store, bank, post office, gas station, gift store, fly fishing store, café, bar and restaurant. Further north are Livingston and Bozeman with lots more options for shopping and dining.

This is a great location for gathering with friends and family to explore the Park, fish in the river, swim nearby, float, whitewater raft, hike, bike or horseback ride, and of course -- dine in style at some local award winning restaurants! The Paradise Valley is an amazing place to spend quality time, and a rejuvenating retreat for body, mind and soul.

The listing was not totally accurate, as well as the photos not accurate. The location and dome home were so much better than the pictures or discription showed. We have four kids, plus spouses/friends and one grandchild, total of 11 bodies. the dwelling was more than addiquate for that brood. The property was indeed clean and well maintained. We marveled every morning watching the sun rise over the mountains-in total awe. The owner was very helpful, we had a number of specific requests and each was fulfilled to the satisfaction of everyone. I would have no reservations whatever in recommending this property anyone(except if they wanted to stay at the same time as us). We had such a great time and have to say that the property and its beautiful location were a very big part of our family reunion and making it even better then we could possibly have expected.

Paradise found!

Mary, Thank you so much for making your home available to us. Although we went to Montana to see Yellowstone Park, the stay at your home was probably my favorite part of our vacation. The morning coffee sitting on the patio watching the sunrise was such a great way to start our day. The colors of the evening sunsets were amazing. Purples, yellows, oranges, all splashed across the evening sky. Deer were grazing on the lawn every morning and evening. Robins and bluebirds were entertaining to watch as they went about their day. Let me just say this: we didnt even leave your home to see the park for 3 days out of the 7 we were there. I wish I could share some of the pictures I took from your yard.. BREATHTAKING!!! The game room was a family favorite also. Mary, you have done a marvelous job decorating your home, making it warm and inviting. I couldnt have asked for anything more. Thanks again. I will remember this vacation for years to come, it truely was Paradise!

Hi Mary – Had a great time here, hiking and touring Yellowstone and even a trip to the Tetons. Loved the Boiling River hot springs – good call that! And thank you for letting us stay in your gorgeous home – we loved it here. Got in lots of swimming and lots of relaxing too. Rib & Chop House in Livingston was The Best - they have really great steaks – thanks for recommending and for all your hospitality. You have a super place!
