Abinitio Tranquillo-The Name Says It All! in Sea Ranch

Abinitio Tranquillo which means, Peace From The Beginning, is exactly what we have set out to create for ourselves and our guests. From our winding road that takes you past gigantic ferns, magnificent Redwoods and abundant wildlife; tranquility is just a step outside your car door. 

This beautiful hilltop home offers the best of both worlds. Ocean views and distant ocean lullabies without the roar of the ocean keeping you awake at night and, yet, we are just down the hill from the beach. Watch the deer nibble nearby and wild turkeys gobble and strut as ocean vistas wash away your worries as you relax on the huge back deck. The front courtyard offers a quiet peaceful place for coffee as you listen to the fountain bubble amoungst the gorgeous flowers.

This newly furnished two bedroom home with it's giant loft sleeps seven. Enjoy the airiness of the master bedroom with its new king-size mattress and four-poster bed. A large window seat makes you feel as if you are high in the trees staring out at the ocean that lays before you. The master bath features a large walk-in closet with a shower for two and radiant heat flooring. 

The loft offers a large comfy brand new Indonesian day-bed with twin mattress that coddles the body while the library stimulates the mind.

The ground-floor bedroom has queen size mattress with subtle soothing colors and beach-theme decor. A sliding door to the outside deck means you can watch the sunset in privacy if you wish. Across the hall is the bathroom with radiant heat flooring that keep your tootsies warm and a large jacuzzi tub which might just warm your heart and that of your loved one during a romantic evening.

The living room features all new furniture including a queen size sofa sleeper, window seat, television/dvd combo and stereo with a record player. Because we have created Abinitio Tranquillo with the intention of promoting peace and re-discovering ourselves and our children we have intentionally chosen not to have internet nor cable TV. Instead we have a library of over 70 DVD's to cuddle up with one another when we have some down time and a closet full of games. Believe me, every family should try doing without all the gagets if they want to discover one another all over again.

The cheery and bright kitchen features a convection oven, microwave, dishwasher, and cappucino making machine with brand new dishes and pots and pans. A refridgerator with ice maker and a bar sink complete the picture.

With easy access to Gualala and with its trendy shops, artist galleries and groceries (approx 10 minutes), Annapolis Winery and Alexander's Restaurant you have everything you need at your fingertips. And with our neighbor's house available for rent next door you can easily hold that family reunion that you have always been dreaming about.

With hiking (and biking) trails galore this is a outdoor lovers paradise. Sandy beaches are easily accessible and as a guest you have access to all the amenities of Sea Ranch including three heated pools, saunas, tennis courts and the world reknown Sea Ranch Golf Links with it's 18 hole Championship course which are all nearby. Also available are ocean fishing, horseback riding, abalone diving, kyacking and other ocean sports.

In nearby Gualala you will find restaurants, organic foods and groceries, a pharmacy, post office and numerous little art galleries. Further down the spectacular coast you will arrive at Point Arena Lighthouse and the surrounding wineries that lie within the hills.

$185 a night May-October. $165 per night November-April excluding holidays

There is a 2-night minimum rental and a 3-night minimum rental during major holidays.

There is a $75 cleaning fee for light cleaning (2.5 hours). If further cleaning is required you will be charged $30 per hour. A $300 refundable security will be added and then returned after home checked for damages. Pets are negotiable but if damages occur you will be held responsible for associated costs. 

12.5% tax applied (9% County + 3.5% Sea Ranch Taxes)

There will be a Cancellation fee of 50% of total fees if cancellation occurs 15 days prior to scheduled rental. All but one night stay is refundable prior to 16 days to reserved rental date.
