Fabulous Vacation

My family decided to rent a house over a hotel and very glad we made that decision. The house was outstanding! Very clean and well put together while still showcasing the age of the home. The neighborhood was fabulous as well. Very close to French Quarters and close to tons of good food. Had a bit of a misunderstanding about payments but was worked out and things turned out great! Would highly recommend staying here over a hotel any day!!

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Great Southern Hospitality

I had an exceptional time. This was my first time traveling alone to New Orleans and I felt VERY taken care of. This property is located in mid city, not too far from the french quarter/downtown area. I took a cab which averaged out to be a $10 cab ride from the French Quarter/Downtown Area. I took the canal street car off of canal a few times which averaged out to be an 8 to 10 minute walk from the property, since the weather was so beautiful I didn't mind the walk nor did I mind talking to the locals. Everyone is super friendly and very warm. There is street car (Canal/City Park) that is about 2 minute walk from the property,however, it doesn't run as frequently as the one that runs straight down canal coming from the cemetery (Canal/Cemeteries). These street cars run pretty late (up to 3:00am) There are a lot of bars,cafe's,restaurants and grocery stores in the area. There is plenty to do to keep you busy right in your own backyard. I absolutely LOVE Beverly. Beverly was very warm, receptive and very accommodating. Once you speak to her you will feel as though you have known her for years. If you want to be close enough, but not too close to downtown, this is your place.

The property appears to be in a middle class neighborhood. Very quiet street. Would definitely come hear again! I had mentioned to Beverly that I may need an iron and the very next day (after coming in from breakfast) I had discovered an iron sitting on the coffee table (personally delivered by Dama - the other owner), this was by far a very pleasant surprise. The only thing I would have wanted to be done differently, would have been a courtesy call or a heads up call from Dama before she came by so I would have known when to expect her and so I could have thanked her in person, but aside from that....I couldn't have asked for anything more or better for my first BIG EASY experience.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Gem in New Orleans

My family of 4 chose this place as it was in a part of NO that we really wanted to explore, mid-city, but honestly had no idea what it was like. Beverly the owner was very easy to work with and was always accommodating to all of our needs. We quickly found out that Mid-City IS the place to stay as its minutes from the French Quarter and FAR from the noise. It is a great retreat away from it all, but close enough to never feel out of touch. The apt has great charm and the fixtures/furniture is brand new -- very nicely designed and laid out. I can't recommend it enough.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway
