vacation rental description
This eclectic themed apartment is right in the middle of Jerome, AZ. Located directly above the Flatiron Cafe, the Flat is a cozy picturesque slice of Jerome. We don't necessarily claim that is is haunted, but when it was first built in 1913 it housed a dentist's office. Between your imagination and a good Stephen King novel, it could easily be haunted if you need it to be! The decor is coffee house funky/Jerome eclectic with tin ceilings and wooden floors.
Jerome, AZ has a very rich history full of Copper Mining, becoming a Ghost town when the mines closed and a rebirth into Today's Jerome. When you visit our town it is easy to feel right at home anywhere you go. Once known as the wickedest town in the west, Jerome was a copper mining camp, growing from a settlement of tents to a roaring mining community. Four disastrous fires destroyed large sections of the town during its early history, resulting in the incorporation of the City of Jerome in 1899.

activities and attractions in Jerome Arizona
Jerome, Arizona has become one of the leading tourist destinations in all of Arizona. While today Jerome has a busy shopping district, this was not always the case. Much of the reason Jerome has grown has been due to the people who opened unique shops and art galleries in Jerome when it was a ghost town. Today Jerome is noted not only for unique, one of a kind items, but also for merchandise offered in other locations at much higher prices.
Many of our buildings are original buildings that are leftover from the mining boom, they have been refurbished and now house many shops and galleries. You can spend a leisurely day stroling around the different levels of Jerome. Jerome also features a State Park and a Historical Society Museum.
