Harbor Hideaway is a large, handicap friendly, waterfront executive home. Located on the west shore of Holmes Harbor on Whidbey Island, adjacent to the Holmes Harbor Golf community. 3,600 SQ FT, 4 Bedrooms & 5 Bathrooms. Ideal for 8-11 persons; comfortably sleeps up to 14.

Perfect for a week away with a few friends, yet large enough for a  bustling family reunion or business teaming excursion. Enjoy your own private vacation beach. Soak in our new hot tub, dig clams, beach comb, go boating or just be lazy relaxing on the beautiful Harbor Hideaway grounds.
The Master bedroom has a large Jacuzzi tub, propane fireplace and a private balcony overlooking the harbor. The main floor has an open upscale kitchen, dining, living and green room all walled with windows along with a spacious, handicap friendly bedroom and bath.

The ground floor has two large bedrooms each with separate entrances and separate bathrooms, perfect for the privacy that may be desired. The view alone is enough to propel you into your long deserved vacation spirit. And you will enjoy it on the Northwest's most coveted island, Whidbey.

Whidbey Island is just over an hour from Seattle but holds enough activities and island life to keep you entertained for weeks. Harbor Hideaway is 2 miles from Freeland and just a few miles from Langley and Coupeville where window shopping, art galleries, antique stores and fantastic restaurants will keep you busy for hours.

We stayed at Harbor Hideaway during the first week in December for a family birthday party. The home was in perfect condition, and the views were amazing! We enjoyed the large kitchen—it was great for cooking group meals and socializing with a view of the harbor. The hot tub was nice for the cool evenings, and we made use of the upper bonfire area. We’ll definitely be back again!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing

Great For Families or Groups

My extended family stayed here while attending a wedding at Useless Bay Country Club. The property was exactly what we needed. Our group consisted of 7 adults and one toddler. The property is laid out so that there are bedrooms on all three floors. This ensured maximum privacy for everyone. We had one member of our group with mobility issues and she was able to use the bedroom on the main floor and never needed to go up or down any stairs during our stay. Each bedroom has its own dedicated bathroom so none of the couples had to share.
There is a huge backyard which was perfect for letting our toddler run around and blow off steam.
The property is waterfront, but it is a long climb down several sets of stairs to get to it. Our member with mobility issues was not able to make the hike but the rest of us would climb down and back at least once a day. There view into the bay from the house is beautiful and we saw eagles on two mornings. There are also several beaches, parks and hikes nearby that we visited that were all just a short drive away.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, sight seeing

Thank you for your comments; they are greatly appreciated. We have taken great care to ensure that those who are physically impaired can also enjoy the comfort of our home. The property is medium bank waterfront with about 75 feet of elevation difference to the water. We are mindful of creating a pleasant experience as you traverse to and from the beach. The stairs are new with sitting decks at the top and along the way. We continue to add carefully chosen shrubs, trees and other plants, extending our gardens all the way down. Our guests particularly like going to the beach at night for a fire and to take in the quiet ambiance of Holmes Harbor. The dimly lit path gives the perfect amount of lighting to safely see your way from top to bottom, without disturbing the tranquil serenity of this beautiful Whidbey Island experience.

Harbor Hideaway was perfect for our group of eight. Location right on the water meant many hours relaxing and enjoying the view of water, birds, bunnies, and deer. Close to miles of hikes and days of sightseeing on Whidbey Island.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sight seeing
