Worst experience

Review submitted: July 28, 2013   Date of arrival: July 13, 2013

The air conditioning was not working correctly the entire week we were there. It was 79 degrees every night. We called Tuesday to let the office know. Michael came out to lower the temp, which we told him we already did. Next day, it was still 78 degress and he came back to change a filter. That night, the thermostat said, "Heat Advisory." On Friday, he called and said he was bringing an HVAC guy. After the HVAC guy left, Michael said that the system was not pulling humidity out of the house and that we should start feeling a difference now. We told him that it being Friday, we were leaving the next morning and it really didn't do us much good at this point and that we had been telling him all week about the problem. He said that there's only so much he can do, he came out and took steps and it's 90 degrees out, we have to expect it to be warm. He further said that there's a lot of people upstairs and with the all talking and body heat, it's going to be warm and that there was another house that's also at 76 degrees. With that reasoning, every public place would be warm in the summer! We were so uncomfortable in the evenings due to it being so warm and humid in the living area. He stood there and argued with us, not giving an inch. As if that weren't enough, there was one pot and one medium frying pan - for a place that rents to 10-12 people We went to grill and there were no grilling utensils. When we went to kill flies that were swarming outside from the filled dumpsters, no fly swatter. We called the office and they told us that the contract does state that they only provide the basic necessities. Terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Horrible Experience at Wildflower Cottage

Review submitted: July 26, 2013   Date of arrival: July 13, 2013

My family and I stayed at Wildflower Cottage for one week. Our welcome was dumpster full of garbage, pesky flies swarming around and inside the house. Air conditioning, dehumidifier did not work for whole week, resulting in very uncomfortable conditions. They do not provide basics, no fly swatters, basic grilling tools, minimal pots & pans, though they rent to up to 12 people. Save yourself aggravation . . . Stay elsewhere.
