Arizona Vacations
Travel to Arizona / Arizona Vacation Rentals
Are you hungry for a taste of nature? Arizona is your destination, and since you might also want to experience the Old West with a dash of today’s shops and cuisine, or try many varied golf courses, an Arizona vacation rental is a great place to unwind. Whether you are looking for the perfect vacation home rental to relax in, or a cabin rental to enjoy the outdoors, we have many options for you and your family to choose from.

Arizona Golf
Arizona is heavily known for its myriad of golf courses, which is one of the primary reasons why Arizona is a very popular vacation attraction. The courses number well over 300 throughout the state, and offer a broad range of challenges. The Wildfire Gold Club features a desert-style layout around all of the eighteen holes and requires target-style golfing techniques; don’t be fooled by the ratings, since local golfers claim that the course is more difficult! TPC of Scottsdale has two courses to play: Desert and Stadium. While the Desert course is extremely challenging, the PGA tour makes a stop at the tricky Stadium course, lined with Arizona’s state flowers, saguaro cacti, and mesquite trees.

Arizona Key Areas
Arizona is a true land of adventure coupled with breathtaking, seemingly endless nature. In northwestern Arizona lies the world-famous Grand Canyon, cut out by the Colorado River. A particularly awe-inspiring part of the Grand Canyon is designated as a National Park. Experience the colors, mesas, plateaus, buttes, and valleys of this natural formation. Other landscape settings in Arizona include the Petrified Forest, with unexpected brilliant color on the logs, and the Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument with several impressive cones formed from igneous activity. Some national monument historic sites include the Montezuma Castle (an Indian cliff dwelling), and Wupatki, a site of a number of Indian ruins on the edge of the Painted Desert.

Northern Arizona has a vast array of terrain to explore. Sedona has been noted the world over in the arts and entertainment industries for its red sandstone canyon formations. Don’t miss out on Sedona’s Spanish colonial style Tiaquepaque, and its stores, restaurants, and galleries. High-elevation Flagstaff can provide a break from very hot temperatures, and its more temperate weather makes varied seasonal activities such as mountain biking and snowboarding at Mt. Humphrey’s Snowbowl Ski Resort. Flagstaff celebrates its frontier heritage and standout geology with the Museum of Northern Arizona, the Pioneer Museum, and the Riordan Mansion State Historic Park (since 1904). The man-made Lake Mead area is a source for water sports to come alive, as well as fishing and camping. A large portion of Northern Arizona is populated with the immense wonder of the Grand Canyon.

Central Arizona spans the range from very metropolitan areas to plenty of outdoor splendor. Phoenix embodies the true metropolitan feel while being part of the Sonoran Desert region. One example of the terrain is Camelback Mountain, a hiker’s favorite, which is the highest point in Phoenix. An incredible mix of art forms exists in Phoenix; the Heard Museum specializes in regional Native American art, and the Phoenix Art Museum exhibits and displays world art from centuries past up to today. Scottsdale, a city just outside of Phoenix, is a true golfing mecca and home to the annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show. Cuisine style is abundant in Scottsdale, with approximately 600 restaurants from which to choose. The East Valley area blends high-tech with Old West flavor. Outside of these areas is the Superstition Mountain Wilderness area with the legendary Weaver’s Needle landmark.

Surrounded by five mountain ranges, with gorgeous sunsets at dusk, Tucson is filled with things to see and do. The base of Sentinel Peak, at the fringe of downtown Tuscon, is an archaeology dig site for the first settlement of the area. Tucson is considered to be one of the top spa destinations in the world, with techniques ranging from very modern to ancient Oriental and Native American ways, and a good selection of both resort and day spas from which to choose. Golf is also a major attraction, with around 30 different courses to try, and the hosting of two professional tournaments from the PGA and LPGA. Kitt Peak National Observatory contains the world’s largest collection of optical telescopes, and offers tours and stargazing nightly. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is a museum with living exhibits of flora and fauna.
