Woodstock vacation rentals

The small town of Woodstock, New Hampshire is located in the western region of the state. Its extensive land area is largely forested, and includes the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest. Parts of the White Mountain National Forest are in the east and west and the Appalachian Trail crosses the town's northwest corner. Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest is an area of land that functions as an outdoor laboratory for ecological studies. It was established for the study of the relationship between forest cover and water quality and supply. The White Mountain National Forest has campgrounds, hiking trails, bird watching (237 species), trout fishing in ponds, brooks, and rivers, The Forest Discovery Trail (a 1.5 mile loop trail that leads through 85 acres of young hardwoods and old pines, past rocky streams and forest wetlands), horseback riding, hunting (white-tailed deer, moose, black bear, rabbits, grouse, and waterfowl), boating, and mineral collecting (gold panning, smoky quartz, and purple amethyst). Lost River Gorge, in North Woodstock, was created by glaciers which left huge granite walls and a river that travels through the gorge, tumbling over boulders into a waterfall. Visit Clark’s Trading Post, home of Clark’s Trained Bears and the White Mountain Central Railroad on which you can take a ride through an authentic covered bridge. There is also a museum on site with information about the area and artifacts from the area’s past. Woodstock Vacation Rentals are available and will net you the best in Woodstock Deals.
