Many interesting attractions are only a short drive from Ninole, such as the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden, Akaka Falls State Park, the towns of Honomu and Honokaa, and the Waipo Valley. Hamakua Coast has a number of beautiful beaches where snorkeling, hiking, surfing, swimming, horseback riding and golf are available.
