Home away from home!

Review submitted: May 13, 2014   Date of arrival: April 29, 2014

This cottage is cozy, comfortable, and you can clearly see the love and thought that went into making it a home. Bonnie and John are two of the nicest people we've met and they have absolutely thought of everything from covering a portion of the back deck so regardless of the weather you can still enjoy the brook and the view, to an abundance of firewood, to the games supplied to get back to having quality family time. The Hot tub was amazing and we used it several times, which was fantastic after a morning of hunting in the woods.

They left us a bottle of tasty local wine with a wonderful havarti cheese with dill (my new favorite) as well as coffee for the morning. We took Bonnie's advice on visiting some of the local wineries (Noble and Johnson) and stopped to view lake Erie which is amazing! I have to say that most of time i just wanted to sit in front of the fireplace and enjoy the serenity of the moment with a glass of wine.

From the trails to the stocked pond it didn't even matter to us that it did rain all week it's a perfect place that i fell in love with the moment we arrived! We've already booked two more weeks this year and will be returning year after year as long as they will have us!

I would definitely recommend this to friends and family!

Thank you so much Bonnie and John!

Owners response: This little house in the woods has been a refuge for family and friends since it was built in 1929. We have been fortunate to be able to keep it in the family since then and we truly enjoy sharing it's many wonderful qualities with others. Our guests have been some of the nicest people you could hope to meet and many of them have become friends who return each year.

Nice to Be Back

Review submitted: October 13, 2013   Date of arrival: September 17, 2013

We enjoyed our week at the cottage so much last year that we decided to come back again. Like before, everything we needed was provided and we had no troubles whatsoever. Such an amazing place to relax and unwind, and the weather was nice. Days spent enjoying the outdoors, evenings in the hot tub and star gazing. The leaves were just starting to show a hint of color as the seasons changed. On the cooler nights there was plenty of firewood to enjoy a fire. Bonnie and John will do everything they can to ensure your comfort and enjoyment! They don't miss any detail to make the cottage feel like home for you. Thanks for another wonderful visit!

Amazing Cottage with Amazing Hosts

Review submitted: October 2, 2013   Date of arrival: September 26, 2013

First of all, Bonnie and John are amazing. They treat as you are a family member. My girlfriend and I stayed from Sept. 26. - Sept 29th. It was the pefect time to see the fall colors starting to show.

The cabin was nice and cozy and very clean for being a cabin. The fireplace was great to sit and relax by. They provided everything you need to make you stay enjoyable. There is even a washer and dryer if you want to do some laundry before you head home.

The land and pond were great. There is plenty of hiking trails that are real easy to walk on. My one piece of advice would to wear hiking boots/shoes or an old pair of sneakers. Some of the trails were a little wet but still hikable. I saw a couple small mouth bass and plenty of blue gil in the pond if your kids want to go fishing. There was also a rope swing and zipline there too.

The location is perfect. It is out in the woods, but real easy to find. But it is close enough to everything else to make it very convienent.

Thank You Bonnie and John for an amazing vacation. It was just want I needed. We will definetly be back next year.
