rooms of the home. It features three living areas, one with a
built-in fireplace and one with a free-standing wood stove. The
dining area sits at a lookout as if it were a ship riding above the
Sound. In a quiet neighborhood of similar fine homes, it is
convenient by minutes to Tacoma's extensive shopping and
dining, to transportation hubs (including Seattle/Tacoma
International Airport, the Tacoma Narrows civil aviation airport,
I-5), and to many scenic areas. In this home, renters will feel as
though they are the only people for miles, yet are convenient to
everything Tacoma and the Puget Sound area have to offer.

This unusual Northwest-style, custom-designed home also
features three private decks overlooking the Sound. One deck
boasts a sauna with a window overlooking the spectacular forest
and the peaceful Sound.
A spiral staircase leads downstairs to the four bedrooms and
the third living area, with its entertainment system. The gourmet
kitchen, also overlooking the view, is freshly remodeled, from
the refinished oak floors to the Sub-Zero refrigerator, gas
cook-top, Corian countertop, trash compactor, dishwasher and
wall-mount oven. Full-size laundry facilities are also included.
Jacuzzi tubs are featured in two of the bathrooms, a fax machine,
cable service to all three tv's, stereo sound equpment, stationary
bicycle, and comfortable furnishings will make you feel at home.
The yard is professionally landscaped and maintained.

This fine home is convenient to (but out of the infamous traffic of)
Seattle, 30 miles north. Olympia, the state capitol is 20 miles
south. Just across the Narrows Bridge, at varying convenient
distances on the Olympic Peninsula, are Gig Harbor, Olympic
National Park, the Hood Canal, and Port Angeles with its ferry
boats to Victoria, BC, Canada., and Bremerton (with the US
Naval Base) and its ferries to Seattle. The home is also a great
launching point for day trips to Mt. Rainier National Park (1.5
hours away), Mt. St. Helens National Park (2 hrs away), or the
Pacific Coast (2 hours away).
Tacoma has many fine restauraunts and brew pubs. Cultural
activities include new museums, such as the Washington State
Museum, the Glass Museum, the new Tacoma Art Museum, all
in the downtown area, ten minutes away. The University of
Washington, Tacoma, is also in the same downtown area,
attracting a lot of attention to Tacoma. Tacoma's night life is
ever-increasing, from small clubs to the Tacoma Dome's
nationally famous shows.
Magnificent Sound views award hikers at Pt. Defiance Park and
Zoo, only 1.5 miles north of this home. If you try Tacoma for your
next vacation, you will be pleasantly surprised at all it offers.
Outdoor activities available in the area include boating, kayaking,
hiking, skiiing, snowboarding, golfing, and much more.
