New Listing!  Awesome View –North Shore –Haleiwa Surf beachfront condo

Haleiwa, North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii, USA - < 45 minutes from HNL

Location, Location, Location!  Renovated baths & kitchen with ACU in bedroom. This is the best beachfront unit (top floor walk-up) with spectacular views of the ocean literally a stone’s throw from your private lanai.   A nice white sand beach in front of complex is good for swimming as it’s protected by reef; great for snorkeling and beachcombing too.  Famous North Shore surfing, can be watched from your lanai.  Good to know your buildings – this unit is in the beach front building (B for Beach) of Haleiwa Surf Condos facing the ocean.

E Komo Mai (welcome) to Hawaii!  What better way to spend your vacation in Hawaii but by having a Mai Tai on your private lanai staring & mesmerized at the ocean/beach, watching the sunset!  Awesome 3rdfloor (top) unit has spectacular views of famous North Shore surf breaks (Haleiwa - home of the Triple Crown Surf Tournament as well as Bay Watch).  Great for that romantic get-away or a fun family vacation.  Lots to see & do!  Haleiwa Surf Condominium is conveniently located near Historic Haleiwa Town for shopping and restaurants.  With a full kitchen, you can have simple to gourmet meals in the condo or delicious dine-out meals just down the road.  If you want to meet others, there is a common area BBQ with picnic tables, where people in the building come together in the evening often to mingle.  Historic Haleiwa Town is self contained with everything from grocer, pharmacy, banks, shaved-ice stands, coffee, art galleries, and great restaurants to even a McD’s if the keiki (kids) are with you.  Some must-do’s & favorites are Matsumoto’s Shaved-ice, Haleiwa Joe’s  (you can walk to), Jameson’s by the Sea, Kua’aina Burgers (great fries), Mexican,  the Shrimp trucks, way too many to name.  You can take surfing lessons or rent a board in the many surf shops in Haleiwa as well as buy the cutest bikini in the darling boutiques!  Kayak up the river from the boat harbor under picturistique Anahulu bridge.  Go on a Shark adventure, fishing tour or boat ride at the Harbor.  Visit Waimea Botanical Gardens & learn the hula.  Or just sunbathe and take that long stroll on the beach.

When to come to Hawaii?  You ask…well each season is wonderful and the temperature doesn’t change much more than 10 degrees from winter to summer, it’s typically in the 80’s daily.  Our tropical tradewinds cool us in the summer and the tropical breeze off of the ocean warms us in the winter.

Summer - the ocean on the North Shore is calmer in the summer.  Although there can be some smaller wave action to surf, it’s typically a great time to snorkel, boat, fish, kayak, SUP and swim.  The Haleiwa Boat Harbor is nearby next to Haleiwa Alii Beach Park.  Sharks cove is fabulous for snorkeling (a great reef shelf with many colorful fish, coral & turtles).

Winter – the ocean on the North Shore is famous for the BIG WAVES.  This is so incredibly spectacular to watch (or surf if you dare).  A definite must to see is Pipeline, Sunset & Waimea beaches (can reach up to 25 feet)!   And of course can watch right off the lanai, Haleiwa, Avalanche Puaena Pt. & Walls.

Spring – can be end of winter swells or balmy beginning of summer or more than likely a combination of both seasons.

Fall – can be beginning of winter swells or end of summer calm oceans, probably a combination of both seasons.

Fall thru Spring is whale season and Humpbacks can be seen breaching from your lanai.  Most seasons the Honu (sea turtles) are swimming in the reef and can be seen popping up their heads or while snorkeling along with an array of beautiful colorful fish.  Oh and visiting Monk Seal sunbathing on the beach in front of your condo as well as dolphins spinning by.  Truly nature’s wildlife zoo for you viewing pleasure.

Kona Winds – periodically through-out the year there are Kona wind days (humid).  But mostly in late summer.

Wow! Simply unbelievable!

Review submitted: March 28, 2014   Date of arrival: March 22, 2014

Arrived with some fairly high expectations, every one of them was exceeded! Everything was great, the kitchen and bathrooms stood out, but the star of the show was the lanai!! What a view and what a place for morning coffee, afternoon siesta, evening cocktails and dinner. Thanks so much, we will be back but next time for a much longer stay!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: Aloha Ralph, thank you for the rave review! Glad you enjoyed yourselves. I too love the lanai, it's mesmerizing!

Wonderful Condo - Right on the Beach - Everything You Could Want or Need!

Review submitted: February 18, 2014   Date of arrival: February 7, 2014

Thank you Robin for such a lovely time in your Haleiwa beachside condo. I travelled with my husband and mother-in-law and we all had a great time. The weather was fantastic and having a beach just outside your doorstep made for such a relaxing vacation. We enjoyed all the condo had to offer: kitchen with everything you need to cook (just supply the food, but she has a lot of condiments, spices, oils, etc. to use), beach supplies (chairs, coolers, boogie boards, towels, snorkels, fins, etc.), linens, bathroom supplies (lotion, hairdryers, basic first aid, shampoo), TV with a great cable package for the rainy days, and high-speed wireless internet. All in all, there was a lot we could have left at home with how much Robin has in this recently-renovated condo.

The complex is quiet, with a mix of families and retirees, as well as vacationers like ourselves. The A/C unit in the bedroom is quite powerful and we only really needed to have it on maybe an hour before bedtime to cool the room as the nightime breezes keep you comfortable after that.

The only, and *VERy* minor thing that I could think of is that the fans in the bathrooms might need to be replaced as they had a hard time venting steam. Although we had some very hot and humid days while we were there, so I can't really expect miracles from a bathroom fan!

Haleiwa "downtown" is only a 15min walk or 5min drive down the road from this condo. I really recommend going to the food trucks (bit of a hike, easy drive further into town near the smaller, not the double, bridge). Our favourite is "Dat Cajun Guy" with his shrimp po boy. As well, there are so many little shops to explore - and don't forget the shaved ice at Masumoto's (I am dissapointed to see Aoki's is closed). As well, if you don't pick up food in Honolulu on your way out, there is a grocery store in Haleiwa, but if you have a car I recommend driving up the Kamehaeha Hwy to Waimea and the Foodland there. Don't forget to get their loyalty card at the checkout to save even more!

All in all, I had a very wonderful and relaxing time at Robin's condo. She was always prompt to reply by email to any concerns I might have had. We will definitely keep this place in mind for our next trip to Hawaii!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: Aloha Kristine, thank you for your review, much appreciate it. Yes, I will check into those bathroom fans. Mahalo.
