Charming Oceanfront Cottage in Jonesport

The cottage is located in Jonesport, a small fishing village off Route
187 situated between Sandy River and Poppplestone Beaches. It is
directly on the ocean with one of the most scenic locations in Downeast.
The cottage is slightly elevated above the shore and faces east
overlooking Chandler Bay. There are spectacular sunrises for early
birds and the sunsets turn the ocean iridescent, setting the offshore
islands aflame. There is access to the rugged granite ledges
below and a sandy beach just a quarter mile up the road.
There are spectacular ocean views from inside the cottage, as well as,
outside.

The cottage is equipped with a working fireplace, sliding glass doors
overlooking the ocean, a well equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, coffee
maker, microwave, TV/DVD, a well-stocked library, outdoor furniture,
and a barbecue.

Even though visitors return for the peaceful atmosphere that this area
offers, many enjoy the wide variety of opportunities to observe
Maine's nature as it once was. Among them are bird watching, kayaking
and canoeing in some of the most pristine rivers in all of Maine. For
more traditional recreation there are two small golf courses, which never
have crowds, located just a few miles away.
Puffin tours are available with Capt. Norton out of Jonesport [
reservations are advised] and hiking trails are
close by.
Its location also provides easy access to Acadia Park, Campobello
Island, St. Andrews, and Winter Harbor.
This is truly one of the most scenic areas on the coast of Maine.
