The adjacent state park has a fishing pier, shady bike trails, a roller blading trail and a historic fort.

Playgrounds, tennis courts, golf courses, a skateboard park, volleyball sand courts, basketball courts, and a
miniature golf are nearby.

Take a 2 mile bike ride past marshes, parks, residential areas and the historic district to the marina and
downtown Fernandina with scores of shops and restaurants.

Body surf and swim in the state's cleanest water. In Florida, the longshore current moves water from north to
south along the east coast. As a result, the areas downstream from Cumberland Island (Fort Clinch - Main
Beach area) and Cape Canaveral National Seashore have perfect records after years of weekly water sampling.
