activities and attractions in Seattle Washington
We love West Seattle not only for its beauty but its close proximity to downtown. The nieghborhood our house is in, Admiral, is the home of the most popular beach in the Seattle area - Alki Beach. Alki's sandy beach is full of driftwood, seashells, and fire pits. Low tides offer West Seattlites an extraordinary opportunity to explore marine life in tidepools like no other beach in Seattle. Additionally, Alki hosts eclectic stores, art studios, coffee shops, great restaurants, a flat bike/running trail, bike rentals, amazing views of the Seattle skyline, Puget Sound, and Olympic Mountains.
Lincoln Park is a short drive, bike or walk. Lincoln Park has a natural coastline, hiking trails up the bluff, water-side cookout sites, salt-water swimming pool.
Elliott Bay Water taxi is a fun 12 minute ride across Elliot Bay – ride to a Mariner’s game, dining, shopping and back!
Tale a relaxing 20 minute ferry ride to Vashon Island. Vashon Island is a laid back island with nice main town, bike rentals, farms, beaches, and views back to the city.
