Juniper Cottage shares with our home two lovely acres in Somesville, a charming historic village in the heart of Acadia National Park. It's just a short walk to the library, repertory theater, church, museum, and convenience store. We are in a private quiet location, and you can walk down to the ocean or to fresh water swimming. View is of Cadillac Mtn across thoughtfully landscaped lawns and gardens. With its screened porch and gas fireplace, Juniper is a delightful home away from home.

Somesville is virtually surrounded by Acadia National Park. The village is directly on Somes Sound, a natural fjord that comes right up the center of the island. Walk to Somesville Landing and sit by the water to enjoy the ospreys and eagles overhead. We also have the excellent Acadia Repertory Theatre, lobster and blueberry festivals, Park events, music festivals, and water activities: sailing excursions, canoe, kayak, and bike rentals, and miles and miles of great hiking.
