South China vacation rentals
South China is one of the four major villages of the town of China in Kennebec County, located in the southwestern part of the state. This is an especially tranquil area of Maine, with rolling hills, picturesque farms, and crystal clear lakes, ponds and streams. The "Indian Heart Rock," or "Sacred Heart," is a heart-shaped formation carved near the base of a boulder on the shore in South China. Legend has it that a Native American carved the heart into the stone so that it would last throughout the ages in tribute to the religious practices of the tribe. South China is home to the oldest operating library in Maine called, fittingly, the South China Public Library. Three-Mile Pond, China Lake, and Branch Pond offer a wide range of outdoor activities, such as swimming, hiking, boating, camping, and fishing for salmon, small mouth bass and white perch. South China Vacation Rentals offer great South China Deals. For an even more South China Savings, check out South China Last Minute Deals.
