Ann Arbor vacation rentals
Ann Arbor is the county seat of Washtenaw County in the east central region of the state of Michigan. The city of Ann Arbor is most famously known as the home of the University of Michigan, considered one of the best public universities in the world. The university grounds are the setting for the yearly Ann Arbor Summer Festival, featuring three-and-a-half-weeks of events, including eclectic music, dance, comedy, film, visual arts, and family fun. The Ann Arbor Art Fairs are a group of four award-winning art fairs that take place every July, attracting over 500,000 each year. The Art Fairs consist of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair, the State Street Art Fair, and the South University Art Fair. For even more culture, visit the Ann Arbor Civic Theatre, the Arbor Opera Theater, the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, the Ann Arbor Ballet Theater, or one of the many museums on the campus of the university, including the Museum of Natural History, the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology, and the University of Michigan Museum of Art. For recreation, you can visit Buhr Park, which features an open air ice rink in the winter, a six-lane, and in the summer, a 25 yard pool with a 0" depth entry children's wading pool with interactive play toys, 39 acres of rolling hills, picnic areas with grills, a children's play area, softball diamonds, soccer fields and outdoor tennis courts. Ann Arbor also has two canoe liveries: Gallup Park and Argo Park which both offer river trips along the Huron River, canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and pedal boats. The Leslie Science and Nature Center is a 50-acre site of fields, prairies, forest and ponds. The mile long trail through the Black Pond woods will allow you to explore the plants and animals of the forest. The center also cares for injured birds which have their homes in outdoor enclosures and can be viewed by the public. Golfers can choose from the championship Leslie Park Golf Course and the Huron Hills Golf Course which features gorgeous views of the Huron River.
