A city in the north central region of Michigan, Harrison is located in Clare County and is the county seat as well. It is named after President William Henry Harrison. Harrison is bordered along its eastern side by Budd Lake, a 175- acre lake which allows for great fishing, with a large population of muskellunge, bass, panfish, perch and walleye. Besides fishing, pleasure boating and water-skiing are also popular activities on Budd Lake. Wilson State Park, consisting of 36 wooded acres with a sandy beach, is located on Budd Lake and offers camping and swimming facilities, and in the winter, cross-country skiing. Snow Snake Ski & Golf is a great place to visit year-round, as in the winter it offers skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing, while in the summer, golfers can enjoy the lovely course.
