Englewood vacation rentals

Englewood is a city located in Bergen County, New Jersey, in the northeastern corner of the state. The city is comprised of portions of two historic localities, Liberty Pole to the west and the English neighborhood to the east and south. Englewood has five surviving stone Dutch Colonial farmhouses on Grand Avenue, all of which are listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places. The city abounds in Victorian and early 20th  century houses in all sizes, shapes and styles, and has several notable churches from the Victorian period. Located in downtown Englewood is the prestigious bergenPAC, a performing arts center that attracts over 500,000 visitors annually to see internationally known performers. Flat Rock Brook Nature Center is a 150-acre preserve and education center, a natural woodland that is one of the last remnants of the magnificent Palisades Forest. A network of self-guiding trails leads to a cascading stream, wetlands, ponds, wildflower meadows, and quarry cliffs. The diversity of the natural landscape allows visitors to observe a remarkable array of birds and other wildlife in their natural habitats. Crystal Lake Park is a 388-acre preserve containing gorgeous upland forests, fields, wetlands, and lakes. Approximately 2.5 miles of existing trails traverse the wooded section of the property adjacent to the lake.  Crystal Lake is 10 acres in size and is home to many species of water birds (eagles, ospreys, herons, egrets, grebes, ducks, and geese). Anglers can fish for striped bass, trout, and American shad. Downtown, Englewood’s first Restaurant Week is this year, where visitors can sample local cuisine. Englewood’s Chamber of Commerce Sidewalk Sale is in July and is famous for offering fantastic savings. Other annual events include the Auto Show, the July 4th concert and fireworks, and the Farmers Market, which operates during the warmer months.
