Princeton vacation rentals

Princeton, New Jersey is located in Mercer County, New Jersey. Perhaps the most famous attraction in Princeton is Princeton University, which gives Princeton a “college town” atmosphere. The Princeton University Art Museum houses nearly 68,000 works of art that range from antiquity to the contemporary period. Its permanent collections concentrate on the Mediterranean region, Western Europe, China, the United States, and Latin America, but they also have  a large collection of Greek and Roman antiquities, including ceramics, marbles, bronzes, and Roman mosaics from Princeton University’s excavations in Antioch. For recreation in Princeton, Lake Carnegie is a reservoir that is primarily used by the university’s rowing team, but the public can access it for fishing (largemouth bass, carp, pickerel, crappie, channel catfish, rainbow trout, and brown trout), and ice skating. The Delaware and Raritan Canal, which passes through Princeton, was declared a New Jersey State Park in 1974, and is used for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. A trail along the side of the canal is used for hiking, jogging, bicycling, and horseback riding. The feeder canal along the Delaware, being a former railroad rather than a towpath, is especially suited to bicycling. For history buffs,  Princeton Battlefield State Park is a 100-acre state park which preserves the site of the Battle of Princeton (January 3, 1777), which was a victory for General Washington's revolutionary forces over British forces. The site is also home to The Thomas Clarke House Museum which was built in 1772, and is furnished in the Revolutionary period style and also contains military artifacts and battle exhibits, as well as a research library. The Stony Brook Meeting House (built in 1726) and Cemetery are historic Quaker sites. The meeting house is still in use by Quaker’s today. The cemetery is the earliest and most prominent burial ground in Princeton before the Revolutionary War. Princeton Vacation Rentals are available, and are a great way to get the best Princeton Deals.
