  • Lovely cottage amongst tranquility
    4 of 5

River Boat Queen is a lovely cottage that is welcoming, warm and comfortable. The fact that it is kid friendly and pet friendly is a bonus. The sunset is magnificent and highly instagram'able! Start the morning with a lovely walk along the river. say hi to the friendly locals. Lots of activity near by - great coffee at Ritual Habitual (coffee van with musicians and cool locals, breaky at OP Bakehouse (have the corn fritters), Oysters for lunch from Jim's Oysters, swim at Honeymoon Bay and play with the Kangaroos (national park). Then head to your lovely cottage for sunset drinks, dinner and a movie!

  • A good home base in the Crookhaven region
    4 of 5

3 Greenwell Point Road is centrally located in the quiet village of Greenwell Point, about 20 minutes drive from Nowra, in the Crookhaven area. This house is easily to locate from a distance as it is adjacent to the circular water tower that stands on Greenwell Point's gentle hill. The Greenwell Points shops are just a 5 minute walk down the road. The property sits in the middle of a verdant lawn, with a drive-through carport, attached to the house, to gain access to the large backyard. Inside there are two bedrooms and what is called a sleep-out, which is really a third bedroom that could easily have sliding doors installed to separate it from the lounge room. It sleeps 6 but suited our group of 5. There's a small-ish master bedroom with a standard double bedoom and a free-standing wardrobe - the largest room is actually the second bedroom which has a set of bunks and another double bed. The kitchen is basic with a stove-top oven and grill, a microwave and a fridge but no dishwasher. Bench space is limited. There's plenty of cutlery and crockery; and there's the basics of bowls, saucepans and kitchen utensils. The kitchen table is extendable. The lounge room has four chairs and a lounge with a TV on a stand next to the fireplace - there appears to be plenty of firewood in the back yard; however, probably best to take it from the piles at the back of the yard and not from the piles along the fence line with the neighbour next door. There's a picnic table in the back yard. The clothesline appears to be missing an arm or stand to hold it up and the washing machine is the back porch, next to a small hot water system - don't take long showers in the shared toilet and shower (by the way, the shower is not built for men over 6 foot, as we discovered!) In all, it meets our needs as we didn't actually spend much time there during the day, as we had intended to explore the Crookhaven region, including the townships of Culburra and Orient Point across the Crookhaven River from Greenwell Point. It's the kind of place to use as a home base for a fishing or water sports holiday.
