    My partner and I stayed in the upper unit at 22 Randall Drive Salamander Bay in October 2018. The property was well presented and nicely furnished. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. It was only a very short walk to the local shopping strip. The unit had recently been repainted but there were paint drops on the flooring in most rooms. No off street parking is available but the street is relatively free of traffic. The walk up to the unit from the road is quite steep. The kitchen had plenty of cutlery and crockery, baking dishes etc but few bowls and only 1 small frypan. There were some distant water views avaiable from the front balcony. The outdoor furniture needed a good clean before it could be used. The real negative for our 7 day stay was that the occupier of the downstairs unit was a chain smoker who liked to sit under our front balcony smoking for long periods during the day and evening. The smoke would drift up and into our unit which meant we couldnt use our front balcony and needed to keep the front sliding doors closed at all times. The smell of stale smoke was overpowering in the stairway that led to our unit. On a number of occasions, we would be woken by our neighbours hacking smokers cough. A number of nearby properties are under renovation. The tradesmen working on these properties liked to start work around 7-00am - not so good if you wanted to sleep in!
