  • A great weekend in Somers

Arrived at the gorgeous Koala Cottage on a Friday afternoon and found a lovely clean house, with a beautiful veranda, perfect for soaking up the evening sun and sipping a cool drink after the drive from Melbourne. Host Angela was so responsive to any questions we had about the property and we felt so comfortable there. The Cottage is close to the local general store and beach and the back yard is ideal if you have a family that likes to play backyard cricket!. My friends and I were on the Peninsula for the Red Hill market which is a short drive away. It was a very pleasant stay, would definitely stay there again and would love to spend a few more days there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Balrose Cottage. Homely, extremely clean, well equipped and furnished. Games, books and dvd’s we’re provided for both adults and children. The Cottage Garden is exquisite with a beautiful veranda and numerous varieties of birds. Owners, Christine and Alan made us feel most welcome, with little extra touches of home made muffins and home grown fruit and veggies and ensured our stay was perfect in every way. The Cottage is well located with restaurants, shopping village, wineries, cafe’s all close by, with Balnarring Beach an easy stroll away. Could not fault this accommodation in any way and would highly recommend Balrose Cottage to our friends and family and anyone thinking of exploring the Mornington Peninsula. Thank you Christine and Alan for a wonderful experience. Ann and Peter (WA)
