Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sandy Hill Beach House is the perfect vacation spot! Ten of us ranging in age from 1 year old to 84 spent a week here in November 2018. The house was immaculate and very well decorated, furniture was very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils and had everything we needed to cook many meals. The views from the house and on the private/secluded beach were incredible! We loved the multiple outdoor seating areas on the back porch and by the pool. The views are exactly as depicted in the rental pictures and can not be beat! We visited a couple of other beaches during our stay, and the beach at Sandy Hill was by far the best! We brought our own beach towels and life jackets for the kids but were pleased to see that the house had all of these things for us. We'll leave those items behind next time. Howard was so friendly and very attentive to any needs we had during our stay. It was nice visiting with him when he stopped by to check on us and the house. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, house in paradise, Sandy Hill is it. We will definitely be back for another visit.

  • Incredible Sunsets, Snorkeling & Flora and Fauna

Paradise Pointe was a 10 Day DREAM COME TRUE!!! We enjoyed breathtaking Caribbean sunsets from the deck and tower. The area was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The house was immaculate/well stocked. The Wifi, TV service, phone and air-conditioning worked great.. The flora and fauna was beautiful. Great area views from the private tower. The owner was very personable, helpful and provide a lot of information that made exploring the island easy. Deborah was very gracious in rescheduling our dates due to Hurricane Michael. The home’s viewing tower enabled us to see numerous birds ( endemic Bahama Woodstar hummingbird, Bahama Mockingbird, Greater Antillean Bullfinch, a resident Palm Warbler the adorable Bananaquits, an American Kestrel, and Smooth Billed Ani, etc.) The native vegetation is varied and beautiful. The home is nestled in a lush paradise with incredible views of the Caribbean. We saw a Cuban Tree frog, curled-tailed lizard and numerous anoles. The location is just minutes from the Governor's Harbor airport and central to all parts of the island. Driving on the left was easier than expected. Best snorkeling was from the property around the rock ledges. The water was clear and soooo smooth. Mike saw several barracuda, a nurse shark and we both saw many beautiful blue tang, star fish, large schools of small fish, parrot fish, etc. The weather was sunny all but one day and the water temperature very comfortable. We saw the Ocean Hole and explored the Cathedral Cave in Rock Sound and got to see bats. The Leon Levy Nature Preserve is a must see. We saw the Red-Legged Thrush and may other birds there. We also learned a lot about the native plants, their use in medicine and the native people. We enjoyed the Atlantic side beaches as well. We explored the tide pools and the ship wreck at James Point. Access was easy. We enjoyed trying out various Bahamian foods, exploring the grocery stores, other stores and restaurants. Our favorite was Sammy’s. The grouper there melted in our mouths. The conch chowder was good everywhere we went and we had a good time trying barracuda at the Seaside Breeze in Tarpon Bay. There we also saw Royal Terns and the Ruddy Turnstone a shorebird. Pammy’s take-away and Tippy’s in Governor’s Harbor were great as well. We enjoyed the music and dancing at Tippy’s one night and had an incredible lasagne. And yes, we made it to the fun Friday Night gathering. We hope to come back!!!!!
