Myself and 7 friends spent 1 week in early Sept. The house was large, very clean and well appointed. The owners were very close and able to answer any questions and provide assistance as needed. Natalija helped us coordinate a birthday party and hired Chef Teresa to come too the house for a fabulous party, everything was perfect, not to mention the fantastic food and wine. The house is appox 20min south of Split, but east to get to/from as needed. I would highly recommend this house and hope to come back again.

From the moment we made the booking until we left the villa ‘Eagle’, Denis, our host was so helpful and friendly. He provided helpful directions on how to find the villa, greeted us on our arrival and talked us through everything in the house and grounds - leaving a delicious pot of homemade blackberry jam and cherry brandy in the fridge, as well as amazing fruit and vegetable produce from the garden, and also his own olive oil. As if that wasn’t enough, Denis cooked us a fantastic traditional meal during the week and helped to arrange our trip on the Zip wire (must do) and also rafting on the river (again a must). The villa itself is set on the side of a hill in a small hamlet where the traditional agrarian lifestyle is still very much in evidence. When sitting out by the beautiful pool the only sounds are the crickets, the wind through the olive trees, and the occasional haunting echo of a distant cockerel. Every morning a local van comes along the road selling fresh milk and bread. Take the time to walk into the village of Svinisce which has a beautiful church and you must try the famous Kremenko restaurant (built into the rock above the village) – serving lovely traditional meals including fresh fish and chicken, and, if you are feeling brave, why not try the eels and frogs legs? A family of four with a litre of wine, two enormous courses, soft drinks and sundries etc - £70! The villa has every amenity you could need including dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and even air conditioning. There is also a gym and a badminton court, and a swing! You can help yourself to anything from the garden – the tomatoes were to die for! The setting is glorious, and to top it off there is a resident cat who is completely adorable and chats away to you all day whilst by the pool and sleeps in an outhouse at night. I cannot recommend Denis, the villa and the area highly enough. We felt that it was a real privilege to be a part of this community for a short time.
