My daughter and I visited Marco Island a couple of weeks ago and stayed at Angler's Cove, unit G301. The condo is super cute. It was nicely furnished with updated appliances, comfy beds and a balcony that overlooks the pool area. The balconies are screened so you don't have to worry about falling over. We didn't visit the pool but it looked inviting and had plenty of lounge chairs to relax and soak up some sun. We had one hiccup where they mixed up our arrival date so the unit wasn't prepared when we arrived. However, the owner was responsive and resolved the situation right away.
The unit is an end unit which is conveniently located near the laundry, stairs and the elevator. The elevator didn't work the day we arrived so we had to walk up the stairs with our luggage. One of the owners mentioned it goes out almost weekly so be prepared. The downside is when they finally fixed it, because it abuts the unit, we could hear it each time it went up and down - it makes a loud grinding sound that can be annoying at night. Another downside was the parking is scarce although the parking lot is huge. It seemed no one ever left. We had to park and walk to the unit each day. Outside of these minor inconveniences, we enjoyed our stay. The Dolphin Tiki Bar is located on the property just a short walk from the unit and was pretty busy each night. The Island is gorgeous with lots to do and of course the gulf views are a must especially at sunset. We did the Pirate Cruise which was so much fun, kayaking, beaches and, of course, shopping. I love the huge souvenir shops on the island. Marco Island is what I consider a retirement area so teens may find it a little "old" at first. My daughter is 16 and it took her a minute to warm up to it. But she certainly enjoyed the food around the island and Tigertail Beach. We look forward to visiting Marco Island again soon.
