Pros and cons to this sweet little yellow house! It accommodated our needs for the most part. It just lacked in a couple of areas that would be easily fixed. No towel racks or hooks in any of the bathrooms. When and if you have up to nine guest (which is how many the house can sleep), that’s lots of towels to try and manage (plus Beach towels)
Kitchen had basics but lacked in a couple of areas as far as pots and pans. One more large frying pan would’ve been helpful and Tupperware for leftovers. Families that choose homes versus hotels plan on going to the grocery store and cooking meals at the house.
As a first-time guest to Seagrove, I’m not sure I knew what questions to ask. I knew about Seaside, which was overcrowded and extremely difficult to get to via bike and/or vehicle due to traffic. Had we known that there was a quiet secluded beach less than two blocks away we would have set up camp there. I think it would’ve been nice for the House description to emphasize that on the website .
We had eight guests and four bikes were provided, four were rented. Two of the four bikes that were at the house needed to have their tires inflated. I don’t believe the guest should have to figure that out. Bikes should be managed and maintained upon arrival.
Overall our family had a good time in the area and there’s lots to see and do. The house overall was accommodating with just a few minor issues that were very manageable but could be easily fixed to provide an even better experience.
Edited to add: we were there over July 4 and that may have had something to do with extreme traffic
