  • Great mix of old with the new!

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage. It was as nice as the pictures show. The outside is a classic Craftsman cottage for the period of the 1920s; but the interior has been completed renovated. The vaulted ceilings and open floor plan make it seem larger. Everything that we needed was there and we found the house to be clean and well maintained with interesting decorations. The neighborhood is quiet except for a brief period between 7:00 and 7:30 when students are arriving at the high school down the street. Not a problem for us. The solid fence around the side and back of the property provides privacy and makes it quiet. We really felt comfortable staying there and speaking of comfort that master bed was excellent. Enjoyed eating breakfast out on the front porch. This place fits in very well with the overall feel of Mount Dora as it really is Old Florida. Downtown Mount Dora has some great restaurants and shops and is a great town just to walk around. It's an active social community with planned events nearly every weekend. Thanks to our hosts Bob and Eve for making this property available.

I loved the little bungalow and the privacy it afforded as i juggled with checking in with aging/ill parents. Michael was a fantastic host and Tim made for a warm welcome. I love the proximity to Mt. Dora too! A lovely walk through the historic district~!
