We spent three nights in the flat and found it perfect for our needs. Very quiet neighborhood and 5-minute walk from the village center. The flat is fully equipped.

Allen is a very entertaining and gregarious host. Come stay at his place just to have a conversation if you like! Otherwise it’s tastefully done--idyllic. Just the right size for 2 and he has a bigger one next door that is for 4 max, I think. The views on site are incredible also, but the whole countryside around it is full of them. And then there’s the two dogs, Ruby and Elsie. They’re very good dogs and so sociable. If you’re a dog person, they’ll come around pretty often, but if you aren’t (what’s wrong with you!), they're so well behaved I’m sure they’d stay out of your way. As far as the surrounding area, we loved it. There’s plenty of Gallo-Roman history, good beef everywhere, surprisingly good restaurants, good wine at a short drive, lots of little picture-perfect towns, farms, and woods to go hiking through. It would make an excellent stop off on a trip between big cities. It could be an exact halfway point between Paris and Lyon for instance.
