  • Delightful cottage on the fringe of Bordeaux
    5 of 5

A lovely cosy cottage that has all modern features. Our hosts Didierre and Alain were warm and welcoming. Centrally located to major wineries and the lovely medieval towns of St Emillion and Cadillac. Bordeaux in the autumn (fall) is absolutely beautiful. If we were visiting this area again we would love to return and stay.

  • Well appointed, clean, beautiful

I’ve stayed in many gîtes in my time, but this was by far and away the best one I’ve ever visited. It is tastefully appointed with modern appliances, and gives you access to a modern pool and a private garden. We also had no issues with hot water, which can sometimes be a problem in gîtes. In terms of location, it was perfect for visiting many of the right bank Bordeaux appellations, including St-Émilion, but you also get a pleasant feeling of seclusion allowing you to unwind and get away from it all. Finally, your hosts - Sophie and Eric - are great, giving us plenty of space, while being available to help out with recommendations and assistance where needed.
