Toni, the proprietor, was super friendly and helpful. It was clear that she pays close attention to detail in order to make guests feel welcomed, without being intrusive. She had plenty of information to share about the area. The Villa is about 15-20 minutes from the Nice Airport and several stops on the tram from Old town Nice, with quick and easy access and pretty inexpensive. Just make sure you buy your tram tickets BEFORE you get on or risk incurring a hefty fine otherwise. If you prefer to walk to Old town, it's totally doable and quite enjoyable. I did so. Toni also had a parking spot available for us as we drove down from Aix en Provence. I enjoyed being in a neighborhood and getting a feel for everyday life. Breakfast was delightful-fresh fruit salad, croissants and breads bought at the market the morning of, delicious fresh squeezed juice, coffee, cereals, yogurt and eggs. The room and bath were immaculate, linens were clearly high-end, and everything was beautifully decorated-I dream of living like that everyday! There was no central air, but we kept windows open, ceiling fan on, and that created a lovely breeze. The rooms all have high ceilings. There is a small patio where one can enjoy reading or tea time. Toni provided a pitcher of ice water everyday along with tea/coffee and biscuits. We had to leave in the middle of the night to catch an early flight and Toni was kind enough to provide a quick breakfast of fruit, yogurt and croissants in a cooler in our room for when we awoke. I was there with my 15 year old daughter and look forward to returning with my husband.
