  • Very clean, well equipped cottage

We chose this cottage because it had two double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. My friend and I are both widows and like our own space. There was a bit of confusion when we arrived as one of the bedrooms had two single beds, but this was rectified the following day. The cottage is ideal for two couples or a small family. The bedrooms are downstairs as are the toilets which was a little “inconvenient “. The cottage is well equipped and is close to Hautefort with it’s impressive castle. The etang de coucou and the restaurant was worth a visit. We had very good weather for the week, with just a little rain on the Friday afternoon. We didn’t see much of Paul and Anita as we wanted a relaxing week ,and didn’t want too many outings, but when we did see them , we found them friendly. The only problem we had during the week was the internet which was not working very well. All in all we would recommend this cottage both for a restful holiday or as a base from which to explore the area.

We (parents with two kids (5y)) had a very nice holiday. The house was not big, but big enough for four. The garden is huge. Very hot weather, lots of tranquility, beautiful scenery. We swam in the lake Roufiac, visited castles. Nearby there is also Les forges with waterfalls where you can paddle, ... A little further are the caves of Lascaux. You do have your car still needed, but the distances are not so bad. Price - quality very OK!
