  • Loved our stay at this voluminous country house

This was a perfect place for our family's stay. As described, there was lots of space--each of the bedrooms is quite large. The quality of the bed and bedding was excellent. The kitchen is completely functional. Note that the two bathrooms are both on the ground floor, though all of the bedrooms except one are upstairs. This is a bit quirky, having to do with how the home was renovated, but not really a problem for us. Kitchen and bathrooms seem to have been recently renovated--everything was spotless. There is a large yard both in front and behind the house that would be wonderful for kids or in nice weather for relaxation. A note on the location. As can be seen from the map, the house is not in a town, and the closest commerce is about 10 minutes drive away. The tradeoff is complete tranquility--it was easy with the drapes closed to sleep late with absolutely no noise from the outside. We would not hesitate to return, with an even larger family group. This was one of the nicest rentals with have been in. Thank you.

  • Gorgeous gite, great hosts!

This is a beautiful gite, very quiet due to its rural location, very stylishly decorated, lots of character, and spotlessly clean. It is clear that the lovely owners, Tom and David, have put a lot of care into it, and they are terrific hosts. They provide a great welcome basket for the kitchen as well as toiletries, and they have terrific tips for local sights, beaches, markets, etc. The nearby beaches to the west are spectacular - about a 20-minute drive away, and all the history of D-Day beaches and sights are also easily accessible. Cherbourg is also an easy drive away. We had a great time and would definitely recommend. Thank you, Tom and David!
