I recently stayed at this property for 9+ weeks from May 1st through early July. Because of the lengthy stay, I was fairly deliberate in selecting the residence. It was a pleasant experience that can be enhanced with some improvement.
The property is exactly as described in the listing. It was mostly renovated with the original wood plank flooring. The owner was responsive and prompt in communication. He was there to welcome us and shared with us the pertinent information.
The fact that we stayed the full term speaks loudly of our overall satisfaction. The property is located in Levallois just outside of Paris city limit and near the end of Metro line 3. It is about 3 min walk to the metro station and in the heart of the quaint city. There are plenty of eateries and markets. We particularly enjoyed the boulangerie / pâtisserie directly across the street, great quality at reasonable prices. The city also has many parks and green spaces. It is a short walk to the Seine river bank.
We enjoyed the comfortable bed, large flat panel TV , and a fully function kitchen. The bath room is a tad on the small side, A large person may find it to be movement challenged. The internet was fast and reliable, we had to restart the box a couple times but never experienced any real breakdown. The combination washer-dryer is also a plus.
The apartment was superficially clean when we checked in. We soent about a half day to fully clean out the cowwebs on the ceilings and hidden dust balls. It was a wise investment of time for our Stay.
The apartment is located on a busy streets and on the second floor, the street noise is not bad at all. The real noise came when the neighbors slammed the entrance doors. This would be a problem for light sleepers.
The apartment is airy when you have both front and back window opened. It was very comfortable during May through mid June. However, once Paris warmed up, the mosquitos also flourished. We had to chase and kill them and keep the window opening to slits only. The key problem is the elegant windows do not have window screens to keep out the bugs. A suggestion is to install a window screen on the plain kitchen window which can help the air circulation greatly. This is exactly how the neighbor did it to stay cool through out the night. Naturally, the bugs would not be a problem in the colder months.
In short, I would stay in this place again, just not during the steamy Months.
