We enjoyed our stay in this quaint apartment. As others note, there are stairs to access the apartment, and the floors are quite slanted. All of this adds to the charm of an apartment that has experienced much of history. We were greeted by Olga upon our arrival, and she was very helpful, showing us around the apartment, and best of all, riding with us to the parking garage and walking with us back to the apartment, and giving suggestions on local restaurants. We loved the location! Adjacent to the beautiful cathedral, and on a quiet square. We had easy walks to nearby restaurants and shops. We slept quite comfortably in the front bedroom. Shower was fine, water nice & hot! Also nice to have dishwasher, clothes washer, and hair dryer. We ate out most of the time, but the kitchen was fine for our simple breakfasts and snacks. We found it convenient for day trips to Cancale, Fort la Latte, Cap Frehel, Vannes, Josselin, Vitre, and Fougeres. We would recommend this apartment for those wishing to experience the lovely and historic village of Dinan, and all that the region has to offer.

Jean-Jacques was a wonderful host and the apartment in Lanvallay was everything we hoped it would be. The apartment was spacious with all of the modern conveniences we needed for our eight day stay. Jean-Jacques has renovated it so that outside and throughout the two floors it has all the charm of an old, comfortable house. We loved it! And it is very quiet. Dinan port is right across the stone bridge and historic Dinan is a short walk up the (steep) cobblestone street, rue de Petit Fort. Rue de Petit Fort has many art galleries and at the top, though the ancient stone gate is great shopping and dining. There are so many cool places around Lanvallay/Dinan that are easy to get to and that you must see if you are in the area: St. Malo (walk the ramparts), Le Mont St. Michel, Ile de Brehat and the way cool city of Rennes (go to the center where tn shopping is). Jean-Jacques, we had such a good time at your lovely apartment. Thank you. Michael and Nancy Harrelson
