  • Wonderful stay in a great location

We had a great experience in St. Gervais-sur-Roubion. Myriam was a great hostess who takes great pride in her courtyard house. She greeted us with a plate of muffins and delicious homemade lavender apricot jam. The pool was a great hit with the kids, and nicely positioned with plenty of privacy, but still amazing views of the surrounding fields and mountains. From the best we could tell, there are 4 units on the property. Myriam's apartment, the one we stayed in, one other one next to it, and a cute old-fashioned trailer outside. Because of the layout, we had a great amount of privacy, and our little terrace offered beautiful views of the surrounding area, shaded by a large mulberry tree. The house's location was perfect for exploring the surrounding towns of Nyons and Montelimar. Lavender fields, vineyards, olive groves and a full range of outdoor activities are all within a few minutes drive. We would absolutely stay there again!

The apartment was exactly as presented on the website. For the three of us, it was perfect - comfortable, clean, private, quiet, and in the center of the town. The owners were wonderfully welcoming and helpful. This is a very small town, so not many restaurants and such (altho you can always go to the boulangerie, deli, patisserie, and two local groceries). Try not to miss the Sunday market! And as long as you have a car, there are many great options within easy reach (in Viviers, Valvigneres, Tiel - also, don't miss St. Montan). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Alba. The only little drawback: there seems to be just one internet cafe in Alba, and it was closed during September.
