We found this lovely stone cottage a perfect place for our week's visit of the area. Our hosts presented us with some regional foods which we enjoyed in the lovely private garden. We were four adults so having one couple in the room with twin beds was a bit problematic size-wise, as this room is a bit small.. We did have to park at the bottom of the hill during the week so this could be a problem with anyone with mobility issues. We appreciated the proximity of restaurants. We did enjoy access to cable in both French and English. Our hosts have a notebook filled with brochures of places to visit, although there could be more information regarding Gourdon such as emergency numbers, day for the market, addresses for grocery, petrol, etc. Our hosts were very accommodating in helping us with a travel situation; in fact, they went 'beyond the call of duty'! We would suggest a small mirror in the smaller bedroom and a broom for the downstairs closet. Overall we had a delightful stay and definitely recommend the property.

Around 2006, the owners, Jacqueline and Daniel, decided to turn an old stone house near their own place into a Gite. The work was done with a lot of care. The main area has a master bedroom and bath. For families with children, the attic space has an additional 3 beds and a half-bath. Off the kitchen-dining area is a large enclosed garden with table and chairs for outdoor eating. The kitchen is fully equipped and for our visit had some useful staples, like salt, pepper, oil, vinegar, etc. It should be noted that bed linens and bath towels are not provided. They can be rented locally or, for about the same price, purchased. Also there is no wi-fi in the house or the area. The heating is silent electric and excellent. There is also a wood-burning stove. The property is 4 Km south of Gramat, which has excellent shops. We particularly liked "8 a Huit" on the main square, for fresh produce and cheese. The house has a binder with points of interest and maps of walks as well as a complete list of local services and instructions for the various appliances. These owners have given a lot of thought to the needs of their guests.
