This is a difficult review to write. In many ways we loved this place. Victoria was a very helpful host and the apartment itself was well-furnished and comfortable. The location was attractive and quiet. The downside? To say that the internet connection was slow and undependable would on a small scale be like saying the Titanic had a leakage problem. If you want a vacation to escape connectivity, this is your place. However, if you like to keep track of news, communicate with friends, research restaurants and sites, go elsewhere. If we had been aware of the problem, our disappointment would have been less, but the first warning was in the info manual in the the place itself. So, great place IF what you want is to be away from it all.

After traveling around the globe for 7 months, our stay at this house in Burgundy was one of our favorites. Our kids loved the space to run around and play outside and we all loved the ample space inside for those rainier days where we had time to just relax. There were a lot of games and books (mostly in French/German.) The kitchen was well equipped and we never tired of the beautiful view. There is so much to do in the area that we will need to come back to explore again. We chose only one of the castles to visit (Pierreclos), which was the right choice for us. There were great hands-on activities and displays for the kids and a wine tasting after for the adults. We went to the Caves d'Aze (heads up- the tour was only running in French when we were there.) Another highlight was renting bikes at Ludisport in Cluny and cycling along the the Voi Verte. We had a fun visit to Tournus and the Musee de Velo (bike Museum). Hope to come back again soon!
