  • Lovely place, perfect for us

My group of four female friends really enjoyed Maison de Ochre in Roussillon. The space worked great for us, and we appreciated that there was plenty of indoor seating space, as well as the beautiful terrace, which we enjoyed every morning for coffee and every evening for some wine and to recount our adventures. The pictures are not adequate for the truly astounding setting. Roussillon is a charming little village, and we enjoyed just walking around and exploring it. The town was a good hub for trips to neighboring villages, as well as heading into Arles and Avignon on other days. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped and we had a great time. I would certainly recommend it for a lovely stay.

  • A Pure Delight

From the moment we met up with the delightful rental agent, Hervé until we said our sad goodbyes our trip was a pure delight. The property was magnificent. Every morning we had coffee and croissants on the upper terrace to plan our day and every evening we had our cocktails on the same terrace to enjoy the sunset and decide where to have dinner. Roussillon is a perfect village to plan your daily excursions. Although it is popular with the tourists during the day by the time we returned each afternoon we had the place to ourselves. The rental was perfect for two couples as the bedrooms were well separated to give you privacy. There were drawers, closets with lots of hangers, a fully equipped kitchen, fabulous dishes, glasses etc. The owner checked in to see if everything was okay, a nice touch. The maid came during the middle of the visit to do a “tidy” clean. There were wonderful places to eat right in our village but other great choices were never more than a few kilometers away. The dedicated parking was a real plus. I really felt as if we were staying in a friends home. The vacation was fabulous and a PURE DELIGHT to stay in Roussillon.
