If you are looking for a rustic getaway with all the comforts of a fully-stocked home, this is the place for you. We had a lovely time enjoying the garden, amazing views, newly-renovated farmhouse and lovely host family. Our only wish was that we could stay longer! The house is perfectly situated to visit the sites of the Ariege and yet still feels like a quiet getaway. All the amenities were provided for and our host family was so wonderful, informative and welcoming. Thank you so much! We hope to return some day!

Our host Rob was wonderfully accommodating - when our flight arrival in Toulouse was delayed from 1 PM to 7 PM, he was nevertheless waiting patiently for us at the home for our 10 PM arrival - not knowing exactly when we would be there! The house itself was well equipped, and the combination of large kitchen and adjacent dining area was especially welcome, and heavily used. The Languedoc is large, and so there is no location which is convenient to everything. Nevertheless, the little village of Plaigne became a fine base for many places we visited: Toulouse, Albi, Carcassone, Collioure, the Tarn gorges, and others. Again, Rob's cheerfulness, openness, and detailed explanations of the workings of the house really made us feel especially welcome, and our group of 6 recommends this property without reservation.
