  • A little piece of heaven.

The house was welcoming and felt like home the moment we stepped into the charming courtyard garden that serves as the transition entrance from the street to the house. We had everything we needed and more, including an excellent selection of CDs for listening and a wall of books just begging to be read. Because our visit was off-season, restaurant availability in town was limited, but between the small grocery steps away and the bakery up the hill, we were always well stocked and had fun cooking for ourselves. There is an extensive trail system in the area that we only managed to hike a fraction of. I can't wait for the chance to return and explore more. I recommend the house, the host, and the location highly.

We were sometimes 5 in this apartment on the second floor in the heart of St. Malo for the week before the start of the Route du Rhum. The 2 bedrooms were nice and dark, since we were on the main street of the walled town and the RdR massive crowds were on the major street occasionally it was noisy, but wouldn't be that way during the rest of the year. The apartment was clean, all utilities functioned, the only thing missing was a few extra easy chairs or another sleep sofa in the large living room. Wifi was solid. The proprietor was very friendly and runs the Aigle store below us. A centrally located unit within very easy walking distance to restaurants and the walled ramparts, which we walked every morning, as well as the Race Village. The apartment worked well for us.
