  • Peaceful village

Although our stay was short, we were able to visit a few of the villages in the area and enjoy the beautiful scenery. We then had a relaxing afternoon in a very peaceful setting. The accommodations had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you to our hosts who were very accommodating. Monique and Wayne

  • Magical! Gorgeous! Countryside Perfection!

We were fortunate enough to recently spend a month at the Chateau de Cecile, and what a glorious month it was! The chateau is every bit as gorgeous and romantic as the photos suggest. The owners have impeccable style, finding a perfect balance between old and new. A grand, historic setting, yet with all modern comforts and amenities, along with whimsical touches and great art...all together a superb residence. Whether we were 12, or just 2, it was either perfectly spacious, or cozy and comfortable. We especially enjoyed preparing meals, or banquets en masse, after outings to the wineries and the daily markets, for dining indoors and out. Most days were spent exploring the famous vineyards surrounding Beaune (about a 30 minute drive) and blissful dining at the many 1, 2 and 3 Michelin starred restaurants, all within an hour's drive. A special love was for our fellow residents, the few dozen white Charolais cows that graze, that made our field even more picturesque and enchanting. Waking up to this magical setting is something I will forever hold dear. The property is well managed by both Colas, at Squarebreak, and the caretakers, Gerard and his wife, locally. We were in fine hands for whatever need popped up. I highly recommend this for special get togethers....and I thank the owners for sharing their gorgeous chateau with was a perfect and memorable month in the French countryside.
