Wow, wow WOW!!! What a place. NOT in the middle of Rouen but an easy 10 minutes away and well worth the drive. The apartment is contemporary, lovely, uncluttered. Two huge walls of windows over-looking Rouen and a woods where mules roamed. The beds were excellent, a wonderful resting place! The best of our 2 weeks vacationing. The rain shower, beautifully exquisite & luxurious. The kitchen was well equipped. The dining area, superb with its over-look of the sparkly city. There is ONE bathroom, not 1 1/2 but the one bathroom is very well done. 2 sinks. Great shower. Note: The front door is next to a garage door so we passed it several times..... but once you’ve found the address, you’ve found an amazing quiet sparkly place thats as beautiful in the morning for coffee as it is at night with a glass of wine. Don’t hesitate to be removed from the city a bit so that you can over-see it’s glory in a most exquisite way.

  • Very Special Cottage Minutes to the Heart of Rouen

We loved our stay at Justine's cottage. She was very welcoming and left us a snack to enjoy upon our arrival. Her cottage (which is on the grounds next to her house) has two floors, with the master bedroom on the main floor with a bathroom (a nice feature is the shower and sink are separate from the toilet). Upstairs is a very functional dine-in kitchen. There's a sitting area too with sofas that convert to beds, so this sweet cottage can accommodate a family nicely. What we appreciated most: The location was perfect for us: walking distance to all the major attractions -- a 15 to 20 minute walk. As well, the train station is minutes away by foot, so we walked with our luggage to the station on the day of our departure very easily. Quiet: this location is so quiet, we never heard any city noises despite the cottage's close proximity to everything. And although the owner lives in the grand house next door, we enjoyed a lot of privacy due to the cottage's garden surroundings. Comfort: This was the cleanest VRBO we had during our stay in France. It's also nicely decorated! The beds and sofas were comfortable, and the small kitchen had most supplies to make light meals. The only aspect we found inconvenient with our needs was the wifi was not working well at all, and we'd get interrupted in our connection constantly. Because we were there for one week -- we made due; yet if someone was staying longer and wifi is important, you should verify with Justine first. Ultimately, we had such a good time in Rouen and we'd stay again at this charming cottage if it's available next time.
