We just returned from our 4 night stay at Wrens Nest. I will first start with the positive things. Our GPS led us pretty much directly there, so it was fairly easy to find. Beds were comfy. Bedrooms were nice & roomy. Neighborhood was quiet, and although there are other properties pretty close by, we never saw or heard anyone with the exception of a dog barking for a few moments one night. Grill looks pretty new. There were some basic spices in the cabinet, salt & pepper, garlic powder, seasoning salt. Coffee filters also were there, along with some other items that my guess previous renters left; flour, rock salt, coffee. We only cooked there once, so while I cannot fully attest to what's needed in the kitchen, I can say paper towels would be a great start. Your cooking utensils are in dire need of attention, one of the spatulas is completely bubbled over and I cannot imagine it's safe to continue using. Measuring spoons not a complete set. Only found 1 kitchen towel and no dish drainer. I hope the dishwasher ran when we left because we could not get it to start before we left, had to select delay start-- every time we hit "start" it would cancel the wash. The porches were covered in cobwebs. The master balcony actually had cobwebs leading from the railing to the door that was pretty substantial, looked like they had been there awhile. The beds were pretty comfy. A suggestion there would be to consider unscented detergent, as the sheets and towels all smelled so strongly of flowers we could hardly bear it, after drying off from the bath, the scent transfers to you and boy does it linger. Not good for allergies. On the flip side, the pillows on the master bed smelled like they had not been changed when the rest of the sheets had, they smelled far from fresh. Please fix the bed frame/headboard in the master, every little movement makes so much noise! Very very creaky!! Jacuzzi tub in master was nice, even though theres no shower there is a sprayer so it was usable. Easier for me being 5'1 as I can easily stand under the wooden chandelier.....not so much for my almost 6' husband who bumped his head on it almost nightly.Tv in master will likely need to be replaced soon as there is a line on the left side that stays for a while when its first turned on. Tv in downstairs bedroom is too small, used a laptop instead to watch movies!!!!! Overall decent, a few changes + more thorough cleaning could make it great!

First time staying at Lake Burton and it was great. Stayed here 2 nights. Shared covered-dock is less than 100 yards, very accessible. Awesome to do a fire pit late a night. House is located in a small cove so very quiet and not much traffic. House had plenty of space for 2 families with 3 kids. Kitchen offered everything we needed for 3 days of cooking. Only issue we had was lack of water pressure. Overall great stay and looking forward to coming back.
