  • Very very home feel we all loved it and family got

All of us was very happy with the cabin, location, cleanliness and the home feel it was 100 percent better than any hotel could ever be. The cost was very reasonable and would have cost us more if we would have stayed at a hotel and we as a family would not have been able to stay together. The communication was great I did not even have to speak to anyone regarding any matter of this trip. Awesome! It was great! We ate at local restaurant's Thatcher's b b que is Awesome. We were right down the road from Look Out Mountain again Awesom. We vacationed to attend sons graduation from Southeast Lineman Training Center. Will definitely try to go again just to visit.

  • A Quiet Cabin With a View and Very Close to Cloudland Canyon State Park

Like others, I will echo the comments about how clean this property was. Being relatively new did help, bit we were still impressed. Same with the owner responsiveness as the porch swing cover came off thanks to the very windy weather and my voicemail asking what to do was answered within 15 minutes via text. Two really big pluses - clean environment and a responsive owner. We had less than favorable viewing conditions (two days of very thick fog) but the final morning brought the sun and the view was spectacular with the late fall color. As there was just the two of us, we did not use the upstairs, but could imagine it as a great option for kids as the bunk room is appealing, plus the game space is large and there is a separate TV area and also a bath. We had no problems with the thermostat but learned that the fireplace can quickly make the cabin toasty. If you like cool sleeping temps, make sure the fireplace is turned off well before bedtime as the heat can linger. We cooked in two of out three nights and the kitchen was well-equipped and functioned just fine plus had ample pots, pans, glassware, etc. The shower water pressure and temp was fine. Do want to mention that we did go to dinner at Canyon Grill (about 3 miles away) and found it very good. Friendly, comfy and impressive dishes. One can bring their own wine (no corkage fee) and pick up an iced wine bucket and wine glasses en route to their table. . All in all, a great stay in a perfect location to visit the canyon and nearby towns like Mentone, AL - great for lunch at the Wildflower and some shopping. My only suggestion is minor - perhaps new pillows for the master suite as the existing pillows seemed thin and well-used.
