  • Beautiful house in a great location!
    5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here with our daughter, her husband and their 2 teenagers (13 and 14). The house is beautiful and very functional. Since there are 4 bedrooms, we had plenty of room to spread out. We were on the bottom floor and our only complaint was that the wifi did not work well down there. Our grandkids were on the second floor and enjoyed the large rooms. Their bathroom, although not huge, was adequate for them with a shower stall, toilet and sink. The third level is the living area with the kitchen, a dining area with a huge table and the living room. The fourth floor has 1 bedroom with a toilet, sink and a bathtub with hand held shower. We were very happy with the accommodations and the location was great. There is a grocery store literally right around the corner and parking is just a few minutes away. We spent most days on the road visiting various sights and never had a problem with parking when we returned home. Rudesheim was a favorite spot for us and only a short drive away. An added bonus was the Christmas market there! We also attended a soccer game in Mainz and used the train to get there. It is very easy. We drove to Bastogne in Belgium, Strasbourg in France, Koblenz and Marksburg Castle - all day trips. We used the ferry to cross the river twice. We had planned to take a boat ride on the Rhine but the boats were not running because of the low water level. The road on the side of the river where the house is runs right along the river, though, and we were able to see many castles from our vehicle. All in all it was a great trip and a wonderful place to stay. Nicole was very responsive to any questions we had before and during the trip. I would definitely recommend this house as a beautiful, well-kept property in a great location.

  • Great location near Rhine and wonderful wineries
    4 of 5

The house was comfortable and our family of 4 adults and 1 toddler enjoyed our stay. It is walking distance to a few restaurants and a great bakery. We also visited Rudesheim and a winery. Nicole was great with communication and information. We didn't cook but kitchen had a coffee pot and plenty of dishes, silverware and pots and pans. Wish there had been an electric kettle for tea. The 3 bedrooms and 2 baths were fine for our needs. Street parking was plentiful which is good because driveway at house is too small to park anything bigger than a SmartCar. Overall, we enjoyed the great location, restaurants and wineries.
